UPDATE: It’s a bad news/good news type of things. The good news is that Harvin is holding out or anything of that matter. The bad news is he’s currently being hospitalized for a case of extreme dehydration. As he was getting ready to get on the plane to Minnesota, he began puking at the airport. He has been admitted to a hospital in Atlanta while on his way from Florida to the Vikings’ facility.
Said Coach Childress:
He started feeling ill on Wednesday and had a hard workout with their strength coach on Wednesday. But what I think, what I’m going to conjecture, our doctors have spoken extensively with those people down there. When you take, I think he was scheduled in talking to his dad, 14 or 15 trips on airplanes here in the last couple of weeks. Including two here, the one that he left from here on Sunday, when he came back, was delayed an hour-and-a-half here in Minneapolis. He got to Atlanta at midnight, missed a connection.
They got in a car and drove to Jacksonville, got there at 7 o’clock in the morning. And he had three workouts the week that I was down there [last week]. I just think the grind had caught up with him. That’s what they are calling extreme dehydration probably exacerbated by that hard workout. It’s an unfortunate circumstance but it is what it is.
Just an unfortunate delay. Hopefully it’s not a sign of things to come.

It seems the Vikings’ first round pick, Percy Harvin, was not in attendance today at the Vikings’ mini-camp. While there is no given reason at this time, Childress will be speaking on the issue sometime around three. Hopefully it’s nothing serious, but I can’t help but think, “Here we go again.”
Come on, Percy, surprise us all. Give us a good reason, or maybe it’s because you’re signing your contract already. Something plausible and good. Not because you’re mad or something.
And for the love of everything that is holy, no hold-outs. Not already.
This has bad news written all over it.
I will try and update once Childress speaks on the issue.

More of Chilly’s favorite word- conjecture. In reality it’s 2 words. Drug test. Or of course it could very easily be cotton mouth. He should know better than to smoke weed and not hydrate.
