Saints-Vikings: Five Things to Expect

The stage is set. Monday Night Football: another opportunity for the Vikings to humiliate themselves in front of the entire nation. Goodie. Here are five things that we can expect from this game:

1. Duo Action

At least two quarterbacks will have a share of snaps in this game. Either Frerotte will get hurt, seriously stink up the Superdome, or die at some point in this game. Speaking of inept quarterbacks, be sure to check out Gonzo’s take on the long-term future of this miserable position over at the Daily Norseman. I will have my thoughts on this subject later in the week.

2. Over 40 Combined Points

…Most of which will come from the Saints. I just have the bad feeling that a blowout looms…

3. Reggie Bush Will Have a Good Day

I was extremely tempted to use the word, “monster” instead of “big.” I have Bush on my fantasy team, and he needs to have at least a big day. Normally, Bush thrives around the corners, but with the addition of McKinnie I have another bad feeling about that. Basically, there are two good scenarios for me, and one bad. The first good one is if the Vikings win. The second is if the Saints win behind a spectacular effort by Bush. If he doesn’t have a big day and the Vikings still find a way to lose, well…

4. Childress Woes

No, not “wows.” “Woes.” Childress will make no fewer than five horrible calls and further the cause against his coaching ability.

5. Final Score

Saints, 27. Vikings 17
